  • National Chocolate Covered Raisins Day
    Raisinets, the most popular brand of chocolate covered raisins, was first introduced to the United States in 1927 by the Blumenthal Brothers Chocolate Company. It was so successful for almost 60 years that candy giant Nestle took the opportunity to add the company to its holdings in 1984. Many of us think about going to the movies and getting Raisinets along with popcorn and a soda! Wherever you are today, enjoy a box of chocolate covered raisins!
  • National Cocktail Day
  • According to Web-Holidays , “The first recorded use of the word “cock-tail” was in The Morning Post and Gazetteer in London, England, March 20, 1798. It referred to a ginger liqueur. The first recorded use in the United States was in The Farmer’s Cabinet, April 28, 1803. “Drank a glass of cocktail—excellent for the head.” But here we are in the 21st century where there are all kinds of cocktails available so go ahead and mix yourself a drink today and  sit back, relax and enjoy.
