The Tooth Fairy is an American tradition with European and superstitious roots. It was started to comfort a child after the scary experience of losing a tooth. The mom helps the child place the tooth under his/her pillow and sometime in the night, the tooth fairy will come, pick up the tooth and leave a little gift in exchange for the tooth.
In 1927, Esther Watkins Arnold brought the tooth fairy to life in an eight-page playlet. She named the playlet The Tooth Fairy.
Here are some fun gifts to help your child learn about the tooth fairy and aide in getting their tooth safely to her!
